"Louie" is a dark steel grey with four white feet and white face and stands a lofty 13.2 hands.   Louie has the conformation suitable for any discipline.  His movement is free from the shoulder with enough action to be true correct Welsh movement yet flat kneed enough to win the hunter hacks.  Louie has a naturally low head carraige.  His knees snap over fences and his lead changes in the field are natural.  He is both kind and quiet.  He learns fast and is eager to please. Louie's blood lines are very hard to find these days.  He is a classically bred pony of the National Champion Bristol line which Cherry Wilson worked so hard to perfect.  This pony is the epitome of the Bristol line, hence the name "Bristol Illusion."  Louie is double Bristol bred, both parents are Bristol ponies, and his are hard to find old champion bloodlines. Linebred Criban Victor the many time Royal Welsh Champion, and also Cusop Sheriff a marvelous performance stallion who is the sire of both Lithgow Wishnik and GlanNant Tango LOM found twice each in Louie's pedigree.  He is also linebred Coed Coch Ballog.  National and Supreme Champion Bristol Sun God  and Lithgow Gay Grenadier are just a few more Champions and producers of Champions found in his lineage. Louie's dam is a multiple national champion on the AHSA circuit in the pony hunters.  Based on pedigree alone, Louie is a wonderful performance show prospect and herd sire for both the open hunter and sport pony worlds as well as the Welsh show world.  We have very high hopes for Louie.  Look for him on the show circuit in 2009-2010.

Louie began his stallion career in 2007 and his first two foals are fillies out of RosMel's Raindrops on Roses.  Both are strawberry roans with blazes, one with four high whites and the other has only one stocking.  Both have exceptional movement.  These fillies have Bristol SunGod multiple times in their pedigrees and it shows.  Pictures are on our foals page.

The picture below is of Louie at 5 years of age right out of the field with absolutely no fitting, trimming or work.  He is full of substance with a nice hip, well laid back shoulder, level topline with a short back, lovely pop eye, dished face and the tiniest ears.  With personality and movement to die for Louie is a favorite in the barn.  He is so quiet most folks don't realize he's a stallion.

Below is an evening shot of Louie May 2009.

Louie is available, at this time, for live cover only.  He is a kind and gentle stallion and likes to romance his girls.  We will be getting his AI certification for 2010.  Stud fee is $400, but special consideration/discount is given to quality Sect. B mares.
